How we come to be what we are
We all have a right to know how our mind works, to understand how we come to be what we are. Only then shall we be able to live a full life in an improved world. It’s up to women, the traditional carers, to seek this knowledge for themselves and to demand that it be taught in schools and practised in government for everybody’s benefit. In the introduction to psychophysics, which is the study of the relationship between our world and our mind, author Jim Goulding makes his own contribution.
Jim Golding (1929 – 2001) commenced his work in the field of Clinical Hypnotherapy in 1974, pioneering that science and profession while working towards the 1998 deregulation of Hypnosis in Victoria. During that turbulent time, he established and eventually registered the training organisation and government accredited Australian Academy of Hypnotic Science Melbourne (1980 – 2001) The Academy offered up to and including a Diploma of Health: Clinical Hypnotherapy.
He established the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapy in 1980 and was awarded a Fellowship in the 90’s recognising his contribution to the science of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Awarded a Diploma from the Hypnotism Training Institute of Los Angeles in 1995 he was also a designated Examiner and Instructor for the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. Jim’s name appears in the world Who’s Who of Men of Achievement in 1988.
During this time he also established a busy practice and lecturing circuit throughout Australia. His passion for study and investigating the relationship between our world and the ‘mind’ continued throughout his life. His peers and students recognised him as Australia’s expert in the science of Psychophysics and Metaphysics.
Jim had the privilege of studying with Professor Maxwell Luscher, the author and creator of the Luscher Colour Test, including the Form/Farb and the 74 Colour. As a result, he became recognised as Australia’ expert in the interpretation and clinical use of the Luscher Colour Test. Professor Luscher gave Jim permission to translate the Form/Farb and 74 tests into English, to reproduce them and to teach his Academy students the science. Jim is remembered as a charismatic presenter of information, whose passion for the science of the mind and the right for all individuals to learn and practise the science of Clinical Hypnotherapy will be remembered for years to come.
Introduction:
There has never been a better time for woman to be heard on this planet than at the present moment. This is not only because man is ready to recognise her intelligence, but also because woman is now an important factor in the voting system. Politicians everywhere are trying to woo her vote, using acquired methods of developing charismatic approaches in their public personalities in order to be viewed as likeable fellows by woman.
So now is the time for woman to come forward and be heard. She can now demand the truth regarding the nature of mind and life, contribute to the making of policies by governments regarding the future of humanity. She must request, indeed require, that government discussions be based on sound reasoning and commonsense. In doing this she would be justified not only by her non-aggressive nature but also by the knowledge that we are capable of unlimited creation by the correct use of the mind. This would lead to members of government being forced to introduce into the education system the knowledge of the workings of the mind, though they must also study it for themselves.
It is important that woman, while being an instrument of creation herself, is fully familiar with the knowledge that the human mind is designed to do nothing but create. She is responsible for each unit of it being properly educated with regard to its unlimited power. She is the carrier of creation.
It has always been an erroneous belief that woman was made to serve man. As much as modern man would deny this point, there remain ideas stemming from general subconscious beliefs which are still in existence. The Bible statement that a rib was taken from Adam to form Eve, so that she could serve man and be subject to his authority, was taken literally, and mankind was gravely misled.
Conveniently perhaps, no one seems to notice the contradictions that occur in Genesis 5, where it plainly states that man and woman were created at the same time and were jointly called "Adam". (Later editions of the Bible changed the word "Adam" to "man". Perhaps this was done by the male authors to soften the blow to the male ego).
This book does not consist of religious ideas of belief; nor is there any intention to form another cult (there are enough of those already separating humanity from the truth). I include these statements to point out that the general implications regarding woman are still harmful to the nature of truth: woman is intellectually equal to man.
It is only by the full realisation of this that her passive maternal instinct can be recognised. She has to play an important role in balancing the use of the greatest form of energy that exists (or ever will exist) - the human mind!
When woman does understand the absolute workings of the mind, allowing her to understand, scientifically, that mind is creation, I am sure she will play a most responsible role in the future of humanity. This is necessary in order that all of us can take control of our future on this planet.
It is remarkable to see that in the late twentieth century we are slowly learning to control nuclear energy, not to mention our other magnificent achievements. As yet, there have been no general directions given to us as to the workings of the greatest instrument on this planet, the human mind. I would no more buy a device for any use without a set of instructions than I would enter an aircraft without a qualified pilot. Yet that is just what is happening with the individual and collective use of our minds.
I direct this knowledge to woman for her consideration, believing that she will demand in the name of commonsense that it will be brought into the open and used in the education of our children and the government of our country.
